An eyebrow transplant is a procedure in which hair is transplanted to the eyebrows to replace thinning or missing hairs. Dr. Ching uses either Follicular Unit Extraction (called FUE) or Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) to achieve thick, full brows,

FUE is a method of removing individual hairs from a donor area at the back of the scalp where the hair is thick and plentiful, and carefully transplanting them to the eyebrows. FUT involves removing a small strip of skin from the back of the scalp and grafting that piece of skin into the recipient areas, where micro-incisions are made.

What to expect during an eyebrow transplant procedure

During the FUE technique, hairs within their hair follicles are removed one by one from the donor area at the back of the scalp, then transplanted to the eyebrows. Most patients report little or no discomfort, and there is no scarring.

Micro-incisions are made on the eyebrows, and then the skin and follicles are transferred to the eyebrows with careful sutures. The results are fuller, more shapely, natural-looking eyebrows.
